Balcones Peated Single Malt Whiskey

A limited edition release in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Balcones Distilling in Waco. Texas. Balcones Peated Malt Whisky is made with malted barley that has been dried over a peat moss fire. a rare process that involves transporting the malted barley across the Atlantic to Texas. 

The result of aging in oak casks. this phenomenal Malt has a rich nose with heavy aromas of earth and oak. developing further to create an incredibly round and creamy palate.

NOSE:  The smoke effect of the peat is gentle. earthy. and aromatic with incense. charred cedar. toasted oak. and Teriyaki BBQ with a ginger cookie tingle.

TASTE:  The flavor is rich and sweet. with soft smoky undertones of baking spices. roasted chilis. sultanas (golden raisins). Nutella (chocolate hazelnut spread). espresso. and smoked meats.

FINISH: The finish is long and mouth-watering.
